to The Baagh Resort at Kanha. The resort is situated on the border
of Kanha National Park, home to India's majestic tigers and numerous
mammals, reptiles and bird species. The luxury property is
surrounded by the park's jungles and traditional tribal villages in
the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, a central Indian state.

The Baagh
Resort at Kanha is adjacent to Kanha National Park and is accessible
through the Mukki Gate of the park, just three miles away. It is
located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. The resort ranges
over an area of 20 acres amidst sal, Mahua, and Saja trees, with
breathtaking views of the valley. Nearby tribal villages and hills
encircle the beautiful and tranquil grounds.
At The Baagh Resort at Kanha we have gone to great lengths to
make your stay a memorable one. Here among the wilds of India we
offer 24 well-appointed rooms among eight residential complexes.
Each room has open balconies or private patio areas with a view
of the jungle. It's the perfect place to sip a morning cup of
tea and watch the sunrise over this exotic land or relax with a
glass of wine after a day spotting tigers in the jungle.
Each tastefully decorated room features sumptuous Indian
textiles, locally handcrafted furniture, luxury bed linens and
bath towels, a spacious marble bathroom with shower and separate
tub, hairdryer, dressing area, sitting area, and writing desk.
Rooms have solar heat, air-conditioning, and fans. Laundry
services are available.
The Baagh Resort at Kahna is located just three miles outside of
the Mukki Gate of Kanha National Park. We will be happy to
assist with your transportation needs.
By Rail
The nearest train station is Jabalpur (169 km). You may take a
taxi or bus to Baihar via Mandla and request pick-up by jeep or
a private transfer from The Baagh Resort at Kanha.
By Air
The nearest airports are at Raipur (260 km) and Nagpur (275 km).
These airports are linked to many cities across India. From
Raipur or Nagpur you may take a bus or taxi. By taxi the ride is
approximately five hours.
By Road
Bus
- There is a daily bus service available from Jabalpur to the
Kisli and Mukki Gates of Kanha National Park. The Madya Pradesh
State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) operates two
buses daily, the earlier of which leaves Jabalpur at about 7 in
the morning and reaches Kanha by noon.
Taxi
- Taxis are available for hire from Jabalpur, Bilaspur and
Raipur. The ride from these cities is approximately five hours.
It is advisable to reach the Kisli Gate before sunset as
vehicles are not permitted within the park after dark.
Park Approved Vehicles: Four wheel drive vehicles are available
for hire, which are approved by the park.
When to visit
The park is open from – October through June. While temperatures
rise during May and June, it is an excellent time for animal
sightings due to fewer water sources and a decline in visitors.
The park is closed during monsoon season from July to Mid
October. However, The Baagh Resort at Kanha is open all year and
makes a lovely and restful retreat.
